Coronation Street: Kit Learns Bethany Is Pregnant
Coronation Street spoilers: Kit Green realises Bethany Platt is pregnant after spotting her at the maternity unit during his cancer check-up next week.

The secret Bethany has been carrying
First, the backstory, because it is a tangled one even by cobbles standards. Bethany Platt fell pregnant after sleeping with Kit Green — her own mum Sarah’s ex-boyfriend — while she was on remand. Since then she has been carrying the secret almost entirely alone, with boyfriend Ryan Connor one of the very few people in the know. Ryan, to his credit, has tried to be supportive; over dinner at Speed Daal he reassures her about the situation with the baby’s father and makes it clear that if she changes her mind and wants to involve him, he will not stand in her way.
The baby’s father, meanwhile, has had no idea any of this is going on. And Kit has hardly been in a position to notice — he is in the middle of chemotherapy for stage three breast cancer, and by all accounts he has been struggling badly.
Kit’s collapse at the tram stop
Kit has been growing more isolated, pushing everyone away as the emotional toll of his treatment becomes harder to hide. Sarah confides in Bernie that he has been keeping his distance and avoiding her, and Bernie reckons he is simply shutting people out because he cannot cope. Then Sarah’s fears are confirmed in the worst way: she spots Kit collapsing outside the tram stop and rushes to his side.
Later, back at his flat, Kit finally lets his guard down and breaks down in front of her. It is a side of him Sarah has rarely seen, and it moves her to make a heartfelt offer — she wants him to move back in permanently, so they can finally be one happy family again. It sounds like a fresh start. There is just one enormous problem with the picture.
A hospital visit nobody planned
Sarah, still worried about him after the collapse, insists Kit gets checked over at the hospital. Bethany, meanwhile, has her own hospital appointment — her baby scan. When Sarah fails to show up, Ryan steps in and accompanies her instead, just as he promised he would.
And that is how the two storylines collide. As Kit leaves the maternity department following his check-up, he spots Bethany and Ryan heading out — and in a moment of pure shock, the penny drops. Bethany is pregnant.
What happens next?
Kit now knows the secret. What he does with it is another matter — and the bigger question hanging over everything is whether he will work out, or be told, that the baby is his. Bethany has already told lie after lie to protect the truth, and Ryan’s presence at the scan could easily let her spin one more. With Sarah simultaneously begging Kit to come home and rebuild their family, the fallout when this lands properly does not bear thinking about.
